1. Do I have to have done prior training before doing this course? No! Our courses are designed for all educators, childcare workers and teachers with any level of knowledge. These courses start from the basics and give you a range of tools to support communication skills.
-
2. Do I have to do any work at home?Speech and Language Support are Elklan accredited courses. To gain accreditation, each learner needs to complete weekly activities in their Learning Log. This can take between 1-1.5 hours to complete. This work is submitted to the Elklan Tutor for marking. At the end of the course, each learner has an Elklan accreditation, to form part of their Professional Development portfolio. Can’t commit to the learning log? Complete the Home Tasks, which take about 15 minutes per week. Learners completing Home Tasks will get a certificate of attendance.
-
3. Do I need to attend all 10 sessions?Ideally - Yes! In order for you to get the best out of the course, attendance is required in all 10 sessions. To be awarded Elklan accreditation at the end of the course, a minimum of 80% attendance is required. If you cannot attend a session, speak with your Elkan Tutor to discuss how to catch-up.
-
4. Can I pay by invoice?Yes – if you need to pay by invoice, please email Rachel at rachel@letstalkcommtrain.com
